In order to secure planning from Dublin City Council an impact assessment of the operational noise of the store was required. We conducted daytime and night-time surveys and assessed the M&E plant design.

The closest sensitive receptors were in the building above the store and across a courtyard from the plant room. Delivery noise was assessed against relevant standards (BS4142) and we specified suitable duct attenuators for the air-handling plant which ensured the residents wouldn't be disturbed and planning could be consented.
