Risk Assessment - Emergency Vehicles

The ambulance service of Dublin Fire Brigade were concerned about the noise exposure of the paramedics and drivers. In particular the emergency communication was of concern.

This needed to loud enough to gain attention but not expose the operators to excessive noise. After several attended measurements across the fleet and un-attended monitoring during working shift, a balanced solution was recommended. This included fixing the levels and moving the speakers to a less-intrusive location.
