International Commerce Centre - Acoustic Design

Located above Kowloon Station, ICC was the third tallest building in the world.

The ground floor office were to be occupied before the completion of the upper floors. Noise and vibration from essential services for construction such as passenger hoists, concrete delivery pipes and refuse disposal would inevitably impose nuisance to occupancies at the lower floor offices.

Mitigation measures were designed and implemented which minimised the impact and allowed the offices to function.

Mitigation design from construction to operational grade-A offices.
