Impact assessment - Tsuen Wan Line
Noise barriers and enclosure designs were detailed to mitigate noise level at noise sensitive locations.
A comprehensive CRN based in-house model was setup for the alignment for the open area between Lai King and Tsuen Wan (c3km). The model was calibrated at various representative locations.
Based on current operation parameters, prevailing conditions at NSRs along the rail line were evaluated and checked against requirements. For the non-compliance NSRs, mitigation measures in terms of noise barrier and enclosure were proposed for further structural analysis.
