We have conducted numerous investigations throughout the country for the EPA themselves and for their licensed operators.

This particular facility shared the general site with two other, non-licensed operations with residents very close by, so simple un-attended noise monitoring wasn't going to be sufficient.

We conducted a comprehensive programme of attended day, evening and night noise measurements and the analysis confirmed that there were indeed breaches of the site's licensed noise limits.

However, our experience identified several easily implemented remedial measures such as adjusting operations and turning off sources when not required.

A subsequent investigation demonstrated that the operation was back into compliance.
